MARSHFIELD – Emma Holbrook and Megan Marotz each won a pair of individual events and teamed for a win in the 400 relay as the Marshfield girls swim team won six events in a dual meet with D.C. Everest on Thursday at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.
Everest won the meet 97-75.
Holbrook won the 200 IM in 2:24.79 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.27, and Marotz was victorious in the 50 (26.35) and 100 freestyles (57.40) for the Tigers.
Holbrook, Sarah Claessen, Laura Josephson and Marotz won the 400 free relay in 4:05.75, and Josephson won the 500 free in 6:05 for Marshfield’s other two victories.
“We had some really great swims, many season-best times,” Marshfield coach Faye Egger said. “Unfortunately, not enough depth to win the meet.”
Marshfield is back in the pool next Thursday at Wisconsin Rapids.
