Marshfield girls golf shoots season-best round, finishes second in Clover Valley Golf League standings

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls golf team shot a season-best 183 and wrapped up second place in the Clover Valley Golf League tournament on Thursday in the final leg of the seven-meet series at RiverEdge Golf Course.

Marshfield’s strong finish Thursday moved it into a tie in the season standings with Eau Claire Regis for second place.

Ana Jensen led the Tigers with a 42 to finish third and earn honorable mention all-conference honors.

Marshfield’s Molly Field finished fourth with a 44 and was named first-team all-conference.

Macy Fitzgerald earned second-team all-conference honors after shooting a 46.

Janelle Skaden added a 51 and Jordyn Fitzgerald shot a 53 for Marshfield.

Osseo-Fairchild finished off a sweep of the seven tournament titles with a 172 to win the CVGL championship.

Danielle Langer of O-F won the individual championship after taking second Thursday with a 41.

Marshfield plays in the WIAA regional at New Richmond next Wednesday.
