Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis whips Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in finale

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 5-2 nonconference win over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday at the Boson Courts.

The Dons swept the three doubles matches and won two of the four singles matches to grab the victory.

Elizabeth Manlick and Rebecca Lamermayer won at No. 1 doubles, Katelyn Welsh and Nettie Kaiser were victorious at No. 2 doubles, and Lauren Defus and Lindsey Schultz prevailed at No. 3 doubles for the Dons. Winning in singles were B.J. Kaiser at No. 2 and Beth Frericks at No. 3.

Columbus Catholic will take part in the WIAA Division 2 subsectional at Appleton Xavier on Monday.
