UW-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball ties for division title with win over UW-Baraboo

BARABOO – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team wrapped up its Wisconsin Collegiate Conference schedule with a 3-0 win over UW-Baraboo on Monday night.

The Marauders won clinched a tie for the West Division title in the WCC with UW-Marathon County with the 25-13, 25-5, 25-7 victory.

Freshman April Martens had 11 service points and four aces, Kimberly Masephol had a team-high 28 assists and Lindsay Gotz smacked 12 kills in the win.

The Marauders wrap up the regular season with a nonconference home match against UW-Marathon County at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

During the Marauders’ final home match, the team will present a check to the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation for breast cancer research. The team surpassed its $375 total raised from last year by collecting $426 at this year’s 2nd Annual Play 4 Pink Match.
