FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Taylor Varsho, a 2012 Marshfield High School graduate, started her college basketball career with the Colorado State University women’s team Sunday.
Varsho started the game at guard, leading the Rams with 19 points and 10 rebounds, in a 58-53 home loss to Montana State.
Varsho played 38 out of 40 minutes in the game, making 6 of 13 shots from the field. She was 2 of 9 from 3-point range and made 5 of 6 free throw attempts. Varsho added two steals and an assist for Colorado State.
Varsho and the Rams host Northern Colorado on Tuesday and Seattle University of Saturday as their nonconference schedule continues.
