MARATHON – Auburndale freshman Morgan Griesbach threw a complete game with 14 strikeouts and no walks, and had three hits and scored twice as the Eagles defeated Marathon 6-1 in a Marawood Conference South Division softball game Friday at Marathon High School.

Breleigh Grimm and Taylor Anderson each added two hits, with Grimm scoring twice as the Eagles improve to 11-3 overall and 6-2 in the Marawood South.

Griesbach allowed only four hits and just one run, which came in the seventh inning.

Auburndale will play River Valley and another game at the Wautoma Quad on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
