Plover sweeps two from Marshfield Junior Legion baseball

PLOVER – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team was swept by Plover on Wednesday, dropping a doubleheader 6-0 and 4-2.

Jeremy Binder struck out six and allowed three earned runs in six innings, taking the loss in the opening game for Marshfield.

Matthias Gouin and Cameron Swanson each had doubles for the Blue Demons.

Nate Barofka suffered the loss in Game 2, allowing one earned run in six innings. He struck out three.

Marshfield will play at a tournament in La Crosse on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
