Marshfield girls golf team wins two-day Wisconsin Rapids event

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Molly Field shot an 87 to earn medalist honors and lift the Marshfield girls golf team to a first-place finish at the Wisconsin Rapids Solheim Invitational on Monday.

The tournament began with partner-play on Sunday, with Marshfield shooting a first-place 87.

The Tigers then finished with an 18-hole team score of 381 on Monday to win the overall standings with a 468, 30 shots ahead of second-place Stevens Point.

Jordyn Fitzgerald shot a 92 to finish second, Macy Fitzgerald tied for third with a 94 and Ana Jensen had a 108 to round out Marshfield’s scoring.

Marshfield plays again Tuesday at the Holmen Invitational.
