AUBURNDALE – Auburndale survived a tight first game and went on to sweep Loyal/Granton 3-0 in a WIAA Division 3 volleyball regional quarterfinal Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
The Apaches won 25-23, 25-9, 25-18, to move on to a regional semifinal match Thursday at Spencer.
Camille Swart had 12 kills and Shannon Yahnke added nine to lead the Auburndale offensive attack.
Kendra Kundinger added five service aces, 17 assists and 10 digs, Jenna Peplinski had 12 assists and Hannah Castellano had 13 digs and five service aces for the Apaches.
