UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball drops road game at UW-Marathon Co.

WAUSAU – University of Wisconsin-Marathon County outscored UW-Marshfield/Wood County by 17 points in the second half to pull out a 76-68 win in men’s junior college basketball action Wednesday at UW-Marathon County.

The Marauders led 41-32 at halftime but couldn’t hold on.

Andy Plautz was 7 of 9 on 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead the Huskies. He also added 12 rebounds.

Tyler Johnson had 17 points and eight rebounds and Julius Glore added 15 points for UW-Marshfield.

Marshfield plays at UW-Baraboo on Monday and has its home-opener Wednesday against UW-Marinette.
