LA CROSSE – Emma Holbrook, a 2013 Marshfield High School graduate, set a new Mitchell Hall pool record in her first home meet as a member of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women’s swimming and diving team on Saturday.

Holbrook, a freshman, won the 200 backstroke in a pool record time of 2:06.55, beating the old record set by Chelsea Hoff in 2009 by just 0.36 seconds.

La Crosse lost the meet to St. Cloud State (Minn.) 142-101.

The Eagles will host the River City Relays on Nov. 23 and finish the first-semester portion of their schedule at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational on Dec. 7.
