UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team evens record with win over UW-Fond du Lac

MARSHFIELD – Corrine Meacham had 21 points and nine rebounds, Taylor Lynn added 18 points and five assists, and McKenzie Trunkel had 16 points to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 68-53 win over UW-Fond du Lac on Monday night at home.

The Marauders improve to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division.

Marshfield forced 15 turnovers and held Fond du Lac to just 29.9 percent shooting (20 of 67), and shot 15 of 19 from the free throw line in the victory.

The Marauders host UW-Marinette on Wednesday as part of a women’s-men’s doubleheader. The women’s game starts at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
