AUBURNDALE – Taylor Gotz scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift the Auburndale girls basketball team to a 53-22 rout of Pittsville in Marawood Conference South Division action Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Gotz was 8 of 13 from the free throw line to account for half of her points for the Apaches (2-3, 2-1 Marawood South).
Shannon Yahnke added 12 points and Kenda Kundinger had 11 for the Apaches.
Auburndale pulled out to a 30-11 lead by halftime and outscored Pittsville (1-6, 0-3 Marawood South) 19-3 in the third quarter to put it away.
The Apaches will compete at the Marshfield Tiger Holiday Tournament on Dec. 27-28. Auburndale takes on Marshfield in a first-round game next Friday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
