Stratford girls basketball falls at home to Marathon

STRATFORD – Marathon outscored Stratford in each quarter and pulled out a 47-34 win over Stratford in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Morgan Rachu scored 10 of her 13 points in the first half as Marathon ran out to a 27-18 lead by halftime.

Emily Kind led Marathon (11-1, 4-1 Marawood South) with 17 points.

Brooke Schultze had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals for Stratford (5-7, 1-4 Marawood South).

Stratford plays at Pittsville on Monday.
