Abbotsford stiffles Spencer boys basketball

SPENCER – Abbotsford held Spencer to 26 percent shooting and defeated the Rockets 53-40 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Abbotsford pulled out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter and maintained its lead throughout.

The Rockets made just 13 of 50 shots from the field and committed 13 turnovers.

Jacob Lavin had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead Abbotsford (14-1).

Mitchell Susa had 11 points for Spencer (8-3).

Spencer hosts Granton on Friday and plays at Owen-Withee on Monday. Monday’s game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.
