Marshfield boys basketball wraps up regular season with victory at Eau Claire North

EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team finished its regular-season schedule with a 40-29 nonconference win at Eau Claire North on Saturday.

The Tigers head into the playoffs hot after winning 10 of their last 12 games and improve to 16-6 overall.

Eau Claire North finishes its regular season with a 6-15 record.

Marshfield led 16-11 at halftime and were able to push the lead to double digits in the third quarter.

Luke Zuiker had 12 points and five rebounds, and Alex Stege added nine points and four rebounds for the Tigers.

Zuiker pushed his career points total to 1,022, which is third on Marshfield’s all-time scoring list. He is 110 points behind Joe Imhoff (1,132 from 1991-94) for second place. Zuiker passed the 1,000 mark during Friday’s win at Merrill.

Marshfield will host Superior (7-14) in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal on Friday at The Boson Company Fieldhouse at Marshfield High School.
