EAU CLAIRE – Marshfield senior Olivia Tierney placed fourth in the floor exercise at the WIAA Division 1 gymnastics sectional on Saturday to qualify for the state meet.
Tierney had a score of 9.300 to finish just 0.05 points behind the top score in the event.
Tierney will compete in the floor exercise at the 2014 WIAA State Gymnastics Meet on Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.
Tierney also finished seventh in the vault and was 14th in the all-around. Hannah Marsch was seventh in the floor and 15th in the all-around. Megan Smith placed 21st in the all-around for the Tigers.
