Marshfield baseball splits two with Middleton

MIDDLETON – The Marshfield baseball team split a nonconference doubleheader Saturday, losing to Middleton 4-1 and coming back to beat the Cardinals 10-4.

The games were moved to from Marshfield due to a wet field at Jack Hackman Stadium.

Marshfield is now 7-3, while Middleton is 8-2.

Colton Zahradka suffered the loss in Game 1 for the Tigers, allowing seven walks and five hits in six innings.

In Game 2, Daulton Varsho had three hits, and Jack Donahue, Sam Klein and Jace Krasselt each had two hits for the Tigers.

Cameron Swanson earned the win for Marshfield.

Marshfield plays at Wausau East on Monday and has a doubleheader set for Tuesday at Merrill.
