MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Blue Devils American Legion baseball team won its season opener, beating Wisconsin Rapids 5-1 on Tuesday night at Jack Hackman Field.
Jack Donahue threw a complete game, giving up six hits and striking out six, to earn the victory for the Blue Devils.
Trevor Schwecke had two RBIs and Daulton Varsho scored twice and stole three bases for Marshfield.
The Blue Devils play at Wausau on Friday.
