WAUSAU – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Blue Devils American Legion baseball team suffered a 4-3 loss to Wausau in 10 innings Friday night.
Wausau scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game 3-3 and then won it in the 10th.
Logan Johnson suffered the loss in relief of Blue Devils’ starter Drew Spaeth, who did not allow a run in 7 1/3 innings.
Mitch Susa and Jack Donahue each had two hits, and Sam Klein had a triple for Marshfield.
Marshfield (1-1) is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Sheboygan on Sunday.
