Three Marshfield boys golfers earn Academic All-State honors from GCAW

MARSHFIELD – Three athletes on the Marshfield High School boys golf team have been selected by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin as Academic All-State selections.

Ian Pillai, Craig Serchen and Josh Berres earned the all-state academic honors for the Tigers for the recently completed 2014 season.

GCAW member coaches can nominate golfers from there team for the award if they had at least a 3.25 grade-point average, participated in at least 75 percent of their team’s varsity matches, and are at least a sophomore.

A record number of 280 male golfers from around Wisconsin earned the honor this year with an average cumulative GPA of 3.703.
