Auburndale senior Shannon Yahnke was an unanimous first-team selection to the 2014 All-Marawood Conference South Division Volleyball Team, as voted on by the conference coaches.
Yahnke was one of three unanimous first-team picks, along with Marathon senior Emily Kind and Wausau Newman Catholic sophomore Mariah Whalen. Whalen was chosen as the conference’s Player of the Year.
Auburndale finished in third place with a 4-2 record behind undefeated Newman Catholic and 5-1 Marathon.
Auburndale senior Jeanette Peplinski and Stratford sophomore Savannah Schillinger were second-team selections. Stratford was 3-3 and finished fourth in the standings.
Auburndale senior Ashley Breu and sophomore Taylor Gotz, and Stratford senior Fanallahn Wurl and junior Tianna Hughes were among the honorable mention selections.
Newman Catholic’s Betty Lange was named Coach of the Year.
