Neillsville routs Spencer baseball

NEILLSVILLE – Neillsville busted open a tight game with an eight-run fourth inning and topped Spencer 11-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Monday at Neillsville High School.

The Rockets were held to two hits in five innings as the game was halted due to the 10-run rule.

Calvin Lenz took the loss, giving up six runs in 3 2/3 innings.

Neillsville remains undefeated, improving to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

Spencer plays at Loyal on Tuesday.
