MARSHFIELD – Cale Cuddie and Drew Spaeth combined on a one-hitter as the Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team shutout the Spirit Twins 4-0 on Saturday at Jack Hackman Field.
Cuddie struck out 13, walked eight and allowed one hit in six innings to earn the win. Spaeth picked up the save, walking one and striking out six in three-hitless innings of relief.
Justin Rayburn was 3-for-5, and Sam Schwanebeck, Eric Pritzl and Dillan Zaleski each had two hits for the Chaparrals (3-0 overall and Dairyland League).
Marshfield hosts the Wausau River Hawks at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
