MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield cross country team held its annual Alumni Run on Saturday at Braem Park.
Rebecca Voss set a personal best time at Braem Park, finishing in a time of 12:14, to win the women’s race for the alumni team. Her time was the third best women’s time at Braem Park during the history of the Alumni Run. Nikki Bruhn (11:54) and Jenna Southworth (12:02) have the top two times, both set in 2005.
Morgan Irish topped the current Tigers squad by taking second with a time of 13:01.
Alumni Nolan Redetzke won the men’s race in 11:14, three seconds ahead of current Marshfield runner Carter Chojnacki.
“Both teams look improved over last year’s team, which is what we want to see,” Marshfield coach Dan Akin said. “It’s early, but we are very pleased with the work that has been accomplished this week.”
