The Marshfield girls golf team kicked off its season with three meets over the past week.

The Tigers had just two golfers compete at the Tomah Tune-Up on Aug. 17, and the two-day Wisconsin Dells Invitational on Aug. 18-19, and four at the Wisconsin Rapids Invite on Aug. 23-24.

Jordyn Fitzgerald was Marshfield’s top golfer at all three meets. She shot a 91 at Tomah, a 90 and a 100 at the two rounds at Wisconsin Dells, and had a 92 during individual competition at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids on Monday.

Fitzgerald and Ana Jensen teamed to shoot a 42 in a nine-hole Ryder Cup-style format on Sunday at Rapids. Patty Bloczynski and Roma Shah combined for a 59. Jensen had a 95 and Bloczynski a 116 during individual play on Monday.

At Wisconsin Dells, Jensen had scores of 100 in both days of the competition – Aug. 18 at Trappers Turn Golf Club, and Aug. 19 at Christmas Mountain. She also shot a 99 at Tomah.
