Estrict’s 33 points leads UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball past UW-Richland

MARSHFIELD – Joe Estrict poured in 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team to an 80-61 victory over UW-Richland on Wednesday night at the Marauder Gym.

Estrict made 12 of 22 shots from the field and all seven of his free throw attempts to pace the Marauders, who improve to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division. Richland is now 2-6 and 1-2 in the WCC West.

DeMarcques Thompson added 13 points and seven assists, Bryce DeSmet had 12 points and Max Opelt 10 points and five rebounds in the win.

The Marauders’ next game is Monday at home against UW-Barron County.
