Three Marshfield grads compete in WIAC meet

RIVER FALLS – Three Marshfield High School graduates competed in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships last Friday and Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Sean Harrington took third place for UW-La Crosse in the 10,000 meters, finishing in 31 minutes, 28 seconds.

Jenna Weigel of UW-La Crosse was seventh in the heptathlon with 3,468 points, tying with Neillsville High School grad Courtney Craig.

Harrington and Weigel both earned points for the La Crosse teams that each won team championships. It was the 20th straight year the La Crosse men won the outdoor championship.

Nikki Bruhn, another Marshfield grad who competes for UW-Stevens Point, was 19th in the 10,000 meters, finishing in 40.26.
