STRATFORD – Four of the five games played in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League on Sunday were decided by five points or less.
Here’s a look at the results:
A Division
*Prudential/Success Realty knocked off Smazal’s Hunters Choice 87-82 despite a league-high 33 points from Chris Hannula of Smazal’s. Dan Dargenio had 24 points, Cain Trunkel added 23 and Mike Kupfer had 20 for Prudential in the win.
*USBancorp edged Victory Apparel 75-72. Travis Pischel had 22 points for USBancorp, while Connor Staab had 25 points and Jordan Schlinsog added 20 for Victory Apparel.
*Kafka Foresty won by forfeit over A&B Process Systems.
B Division
*Resource Recovery snuck past Davis Auto 74-73. Joel Christopherson had 21 points to lead Resource. Kyle Davis had 30 for Davis Auto.
*Nutz Deep II whipped BSI Stainless 78-50. Matt Grotke and Kenny Pettit each scored 21 points for Nutz.
*Wick’s Auto Body defeated Marshfield Country Club 75-70. Top scorers were not provided.
