MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team downed Wild Rose 90-73 in a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons (21-3) advance to a regional final against Almond-Bancroft (22-2) on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Columbus. Almond-Bancroft beat Wausau Newman Catholic 62-53 on Friday. The winner will face either Wisconsin Rapids Assumption or Pittsville in a sectional semifinal at Stevens Point on Thursday. Assumption upset No. 1 seed Port Edwards (22-2) 49-43 in a regional semifinal Friday.
