Columbus Catholic baseball doubles up Colby

COLBY – Billy Young had three hits and earned the win on the mound as the Columbus Catholic baseball team doubled up Colby 12-6 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Friday at Colby High School.

Young allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings to grab the win for the Dons, who are now 4-7 overall and 4-6 in the Cloverbelt East. Colby drops to 2-8 overall and in the conference.

Noah Taylor, Matthias Gouin and Brett Loveland each had two hits for the Dons, who had 10 in all.

Columbus will finish a suspended game from Tuesday on Saturday morning at Hackman Field.
