STRATFORD – Eleven Stratford players scored, six with seven points or more, as it rolled past Wausau Newman Catholic 70-39 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

Benjamin Barten had 16 points and seven rebounds, and Paul Huther added 10 points for the Tigers, who improve to 13-3 overall and 9-3 in the Marawood South.
Chandler Schmidt, Okley Wrensch, Teddy Redman and Brendan Ackley each added seven points in the balanced scoring attack for Stratford.

Stratford held Newman Catholic (2-15, 1-11 Marawood South) to just nine points in the first half and led 34-9 at the break.

The Tigers play at Phillips on Friday.
