STRATFORD – Play continued in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League on Sunday with seven games in two divisions.
A Division
*Kafka Forestry outlasted Neva Jean Motel 66-54. Dalton Lehman had 16 points for Kafka. Chris Murphy led all scorers with 18 points for Neva Jean.
*Success Realty routed Victory Apparel 82-44. Cain Trunkel scored 19 points for Success. Bill Hanson topped Victory with 12 points.
*Nutz Deep II/Stoney Acres Brewery pulled out an 86-84 overtime win over Oil Exchange & Auto Repair. Branson Witucki and Nate Lehman each scored 30 points, and Mitch Skurzewski chipped in 21 for Nutz Deep/Stoney Acres. Dodge Langreck had 19 points for Oil Exchange.
*Smazal’s Hunters Choice won by forfeit over Financial Strategies.
B Division
*Lob City edged Weilers C-Stores 56-53. Matt Michalsen had 16 points for Lob City. Alex Marth had a game-high 23 points for Weilers.
*Fairway Mortgage ripped LJ’s Sport Zone 93-44. Brad Weiler had 24 points and Ben Hertel added 20 for Fairway. Eric Custer led LJ’s with 19 points.
*Stratford Sign Co. slipped past After Hours 45-40. Derek Austin had 16 points for Stratford Sign. Mike Pankratz led After Hours with 10 points.
*Resource Recovery beat Chaps & Friends 65-56. Dion Behm had 18 points for Resourse. Keith Clater led Chaps with 28 points.
