Tigers girls golf fifth at Clover Valley meet

CADOTT – Maggie Field fired a 99 to help the Marshfield girls golf team to a fifth-place finish at the second leg of the Clover Valley Golf League round-robin Thursday at Whispering Springs Golf Course. The meet was hosted by Stanley-Boyd.

Kallie Mayer had a 102, Savannah Shortess and Sara Sturomski each shot a 115, and Macy Fitzgerald had a 124 for the Tigers, who had a team total of 431, three shots behind fourth-place Stanley-Boyd.

Eau Claire Regis won the meet for the second straight time with a stellar 339, 23 shots better than Stevens Point.

The Tigers are back in action Sunday and Monday at the Wisconsin Rapids Invite.
