BARABOO – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Marshfield/Wood County women’s volleyball team won its first match of the season, downing UW-Plateville Baraboo/Sauk County 3-1 in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference match Monday.
The Marauders (1-1 overall, 1-0 WCC) won 25-23, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, winning the final eight points of the fourth set to secure the victory.
Sierra Litwaitis had 23 digs, Shauna Fischer had 44 assists, and Courtney Schmidt had five kills to lead Marshfield/Wood County.
The Marauders are at UW-Barron County on Wednesday.
