MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball team put together a dominating performance Saturday at the Marshfield Invitational.

The Tigers didn’t allow 20 points in any game, sweeping five matches to win the tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield beat Medford 25-16, 25-11; Iola-Scandinavia 25-11, 25-15; Superior 25-9, 25-9; Abbotsford 25-19, 25-17; and Weyauwega-Fremont 25-12, 25-11 to finish a perfect 5-0.

Sarah Wolff had 83 assists, allowing three hitters – Kim Johnson (25), Mikala Sebastian (22) and Tiffany Stargardt (21) – to finish with 20-plus kills.

Stargardt added team-highs with 13 service aces and 35 digs. Darian Molter added 10 aces and 33 digs for the Tigers.

“This was a total team effort today,” Marshfield coach Dawn Sadowska said. “Sarah Wolff did a good job getting the ball pretty evenly to our hitters and they performed well. Our defense and focus on the court helped us to hold all of our opponents to below 20 points.”

Marshfield opens Wisconsin Valley Conference play Thursday at Wausau East.

Standings: Marshfield 5-0, Medford 4-1, Abbotsford 3-2, Weyauwega-Fremont 2-3, Iola-Scandinavia 1-4, Superior 0-5.
