Marshfield tennis loses tight match to D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team won three of the four singles matches but was swept in doubles, losing 4-3 to D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Thursday at Boson Courts.

Taylor Varsho at No. 1, Victoria Jensen at No. 3 and Susan Lou at No. 4 won singles matches in straight sets for the Tigers.

In doubles, the Marshfield teams held their own, losing three tight matches – one in three sets and the other two in second-set tiebreakers.

Marshfield is at Wausau West on Tuesday.
