UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield women’s basketball drops two home games

MARSHFIELD – The University of Stevens Point at Marshfield women’s basketball team lost a pair of home games on Saturday and Monday.

The Marauders fell to UW-Platteville at Richland 60-33 on Saturday, and 60-44 to UW-Eau Claire at Barron County on Monday night at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders led Richland 23-20 at halftime but couldn’t hang on as they were only muster 13 points over the final two quarters.

Kara Milkey had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Hailey Leu and Kaitlyn Langreck each contributed five rebounds for Marshfield.

Milkey had 17 points and 15 rebounds, Leu added 12 points, and Boudreau chipped in nine points for the Marauders in the loss to Barron County.

UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield (0-4) will have a couple of weeks off before returning to action with a pair of games at UW-Platteville at Baraboo. The Marauders will play UW-Oshkosh at Fox Cities on Dec. 6 and UW-Milwaukee at Washington County on Dec. 7.
