Stratford wrestling wins all five matches to take first at Weyauwega-Fremont Duals

WEYAUWEGA – Stratford won all five its matches and had nine of its 14 wrestlers finish the day undefeated as it rolled to the team title at the Weyauwega-Fremont Duals on Saturday at Weyauwega-Fremont High School.

Stratford defeated Weyauwega-Fremont 59-15, Waupaca 72-0, Ripon 62-6, Seymour 69-12, and North Fond du Lac 54-24 to cap off the unbeaten day.

Finishing undefeated for Stratford were Logan Gaulke at 113 pounds, Karter Stuttgen at 120, Gavin Drexler at 132, Max Schwabe at 138, Konnor Stuttgen at 145, Jake Heiden at 152, Devin Dennee at 170, Trevor Dennee at 195, and Dawson Moen at 285.

Gavin Kirsch was 4-1 at 160, Benno Wenzel was 3-1 at 126, and Hunter Ford (182) and Cole Marten (220) each went 3-2 for Stratford.

Heiden had five pins and Schwabe had four.

Stratford hosts Chequamegon in a Marawood Conference dual meet on Thursday.
