Spencer boys basketball tops Loyal to remain unbeaten in Cloverbelt East

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 58-43 victory over Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Spencer High School.

Spencer, which lost a nonconference game to Stevens Point Pacelli last Friday, remains undefeated in the Cloverbelt East with the victory, improving to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

Brett Kasch had 20 points and 14 rebounds, Austin Bacon added 14 points, and Cody Vircks had nine points and 15 rebounds for the Rockets.

Kole Bogdonovich led Loyal (3-6, 1-4 Cloverbelt East) with 16 points.

Spencer plays at Neillsville on Friday in a battle of the two remaining undefeated teams in the Cloverbelt East.
