Columbus Catholic girls basketball tops Spencer

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Columbus Catholic ended a three-game losing streak, beating Spencer 42-24 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons outscored Spencer 21-12 in each half.

Addison Baierl scored 18 points and Kelsey Moore each added nine for Columbus Catholic, which improves to 7-7 overall and 6-4 in the Cloverbelt East. Click here for the Cloverbelt East standings.

Heavyn Kind had eight points for Spencer (4-8, 2-7 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer plays at Granton on Friday, at Athens on Monday and at home against Owen-Withee on Tuesday. Columbus Catholic is off until Tuesday when it plays at Granton.
