Marshfield boys basketball loses at Eau Claire Memorial

EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team dropped a nonconference road game to Eau Claire Memorial 56-53 on Saturday.

Memorial led 32-24 at halftime before Marshfield climbed back in it with a five-point advantage in the second half, but couldn’t fight all the way back.

Joey Goettl had 22 points and Anthony Posteluk had 13 points for the Tigers, who fall to 12-8.

Altherelle Robbins and Tanner Linduski each had 18 points for Memorial (8-13).

Marshfield plays a nonconference game at home against Rhinelander on Monday before finishing up its regular-season and Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule at Stevens Point on Thursday.
