The 2021 WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament was held Thursday, Feb. 25, through Saturday, Feb. 27, at the La Crosse Center and Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh.
The La Crosse Center hosted the Division 5 tournament Feb. 25, the Division 4 tournament Feb. 26, and the Division 2 tournament Feb. 27. Menominee Nation Arena was host to the Division 3 tournament on Feb. 26 and the Division 1 tournament on Feb. 27.
Germantown, playing in its first state tournament, claimed the Division 1 title with a come-from-behind 63-48 win over previously undefeated Hudson.
In Division 2, Green Bay Notre Dame claimed its fourth state title with a 68-56 victory over Reedsburg. Notre Dame, making its eighth state appearance overall, also won championships in 2001, 2013 and 2014.
Lake Mills took down previously undefeated La Crosse Aquinas 78-67 to win the Division 3 title. This is the first state title for Lake Mills, which made its first state tournament in 2020. Aquinas had won the D-3 state title in 2018 and 2019, and made it to the championship game last year before the tournament was canceled.
Mishicot, which also made its first-ever state tournament in 2020, won its first championship by defeating Mineral Point 70-66 in the Division 4 title game.
In Division 5, Wisconsin Rapids Assumption claimed its third title in the past decade, topping Three Lakes 55-48. Assumption, co-champions of the Marawood Conference South, also won state championships in 2013 and 2016.
