Columbus Catholic softball drops road game at Gilman

GILMAN – Addison Warner threw a five-inning one-hitter as Gilman topped Marshfield Columbus Catholic 11-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Wednesday.

The game was postponed from Tuesday due to rain.

Warner allowed an unearned run in the top of the first inning and that was it, striking out 13 and walking one. Hailey Zimmermann had Columbus Catholic’s only hit.

Zimmermann struck out nine and walked four, taking the loss for the Dons (4-6, 3-4 Cloverbelt East).

Gilman (8-6, 5-2 Cloverbelt East) plays at Colby/Abbotsford and Columbus Catholic will be at Owen-Withee on Thursday.
