Stratford baseball shuts out Marathon

MARATHON – Kale Weisenberger threw a complete-game four-hitter as the Stratford baseball team shutout Marathon 3-0 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Marathon High School.

Weisenberger struck out two and walked three in pitching the five-inning shutout. The game was called after five innings due to rain.

Dillon Kirsch had a single and two RBIs, and Colten Schillinger had a single and an RBI to pace the Tigers’ offense.

Stratford is now 12-1 overall and 6-1 in the Marawood South. The Tigers will host Marathon at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field. The game will be broadcast at zaleskisports.com.
