Marshfield boys tennis sweeps singles matches, defeats Wausau East

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys tennis team won all four singles matches in straight sets and defeated Wausau East 5-1 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual match Wednesday at Boson Tennis Complex.

Ryan Paulman at No. 1, Sam Roherty at No. 2, Dillon Scheuer at No. 3 and Brian Fay at No. 4 singles all won in straight sets for Marshfield, losing a combined 11 games.

The Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Justin Rachu and Josh Grissman also won, defeating Lucky Bhandari and Di Thao, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.

Marshfield is now 3-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. The Tigers will finish their conference schedule at Wausau West on Tuesday. The WVC Meet is June 3 at Wausau East.
