STRATFORD – Kale Weisenberger knocked in pinch runner Johnny Seitz with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to give the Stratford baseball team a 3-2 walk-off win over Marathon on Friday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

The Tigers loaded the bases with two outs in the final inning and Weisenberger hit a bouncer to third base with Seitz barely beating the throw home to score the game-winner.

Cam Daul picked up the win, allowing one run in two innings for the Tigers. Riley Bauman gave up one run in five innings, striking out six.

Colten Schillinger had a pair of doubles and drove in a run for Stratford, which improves to 13-1 overall and 7-1 in the Marawood South.

Brock Warren suffered the loss for Marathon (10-6, 4-4 Marawood South), striking out six and walking one in a complete-game effort.

Grant Warren had three of Marathon’s seven hits.

Both teams return to action Tuesday. Stratford hosts Auburndale and Marathon will play at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
