KRONENWETTER – Columbus Catholic scored multiple runs in four of its five at-bats and crushed Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 19-1 in a nonconference baseball game Friday.

Emmitt Konieczny had four hits, including two doubles, and drove in four, Jadon Nienast added four RBIs, and Cole Timmler had a pair of doubles and scored twice for the Dons, who improve to 9-6.

Cy Becker allowed just two hits in four innings to pick up the pitching win for Columbus. He finished with seven strikeouts and five walks.

The Dons host Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on zaleskisports.com.
