Stratford softball earns walk-off win over Eau Claire Regis

STRATFORD – Kylee Manecke had a single to score pinch runner Sarah Martin with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Stratford softball team slipped past Eau Claire Regis 5-4 in a nonconference game Monday at Hilgemann Field.

Ally Zuleger singled and Martin came in to pinch run. Meg Wiese had a sacrifice bunt and reached first, then Riley Flink sacrificed both up a base with a bunt, before Manecke delivered the game-winner.

Zuleger threw a complete game to earn the win for the Tigers, striking out two and walking four.

Stratford finishes the regular season 5-14 and will move on to WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal at home against Nekoosa on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Hilgemann Field.
