Stratford baseball earns walk-off win over Rhinelander

STRATFORD – The Stratford baseball team earned its third walk-off win of the season, defeating Rhinelander 7-6 in a nonconference game Thursday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

Down 6-5 and with two outs, Cam Daul delivered a two-run double with the bases loaded to score Riley Bauman and Kale Weisenberger with the tying and winning runs.

Colten Schillinger, Weisenberger and Daul each had two hits, with Daul driving in three runs to lead the Tigers offensively.

Braeden Schueller picked up the win with 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief. He finished with two strikeouts and two walks and didn’t allow a hit.

Stratford finishes the regular season with a 17-3 record and open postseason play with a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal at home against Auburndale on Tuesday. The game starts at 4:30 p.m. and will be live at zaleskisports.com.
